Durga Devi temple is located in Kotdwar city of Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. Durga Devi Temple is known from one of the ancient and popular temples. This temple is also called Dugadda Devi Temple. This temple has been considered as one of the ancient Sidh Pitho. This temple is 11 kilometers from Kotdwar town. This temple is situated at a height of 600 meters above the surface of the sea level, and this temple is a very important place for worship in Kotdwar city.
दुर्गा देवी मंदिर उत्तराखंड के पौड़ी गढ़वाल जिले के कोटद्वार शहर में स्थित है। दुर्गा देवी मंदिर प्राचीन और लोकप्रिय मंदिरों में से एक से जाना जाता है। इस मंदिर को दुगड्डा देवी मंदिर भी कहा जाता है। इस मंदिर को प्राचीन सिद्ध पीठों में से एक माना जाता है। यह मंदिर कोटद्वार शहर से 11 किलोमीटर दूर है। यह मंदिर समुद्र तल से 600 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर स्थित है और कोटद्वार शहर में यह मंदिर पूजा के लिए एक बहुत ही महत्वपूर्ण स्थान है।
History (इतिहास)
Durga Devi temple is very beautifully constructed on a hill, 11 kilometers away from Kotdwar town. It is said that in this temple Mata Durga appeared in the mountain. Going down, a cave of 12 feet has been made, in which a Shivalinga is established. And for the visit of Durga, you will have to lie down in the cave and close it. All the devotees from far and near are here to take blessings of Goddess Durga.
कोटद्वार कस्बे से 11 किलोमीटर दूर एक पहाड़ी पर दुर्गा देवी मंदिर का निर्माण बहुत ही खूबसूरती से किया गया है। कहा जाता है कि इस मंदिर में माता दुर्गा पर्वत में प्रकट हुई थीं। नीचे जाकर 12 फीट की एक गुफा बनाई गई है, जिसमें एक शिवलिंग स्थापित है। और दुर्गा देवी के दर्शन के लिए आपको गुफा में लेटकर दर्शन करने होंगे । यहां दूर-दूर से श्रद्धालु मां दुर्गा का आशीर्वाद लेने आते हैं।
Before long, this place was also known as Jogi’s cottage. The cave which goes down to the cave, is in the shape of the circle, from which people from nearby villages used to carry fire. Joggi Baba used to throw stones on the path and set fire to it.

In this temple there is a statue emerging from the rocks of Goddess Mother and there is a flame of fire which is always burning inside the cave in front of Durga Mata’s Pindi.
इस मंदिर में देवी माँ की चट्टानों से निकली हुई एक मूर्ति है और वहाँ अग्नि की ज्वाला है जो दुर्गा माता की पिंडी के सामने गुफा के अंदर हमेशा जलती रहती है।
